ABOUT US

The Origin of the Treasure Coast Fife and Drum Corps
For many years, I played colonial style snare and bass drums for the Pawtuxet Rangers Rhode Island Militia, first chartered by the State in 1774 and actively participating in many events to this day. During these years, we marched and played throughout New England, including the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the United States of America, the Bristol, RI parade. In addition, we were proud to be invited to perform at historical Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia.
After retiring here to Stuart, Florida, I found that of all things Rhode Island, I missed fife and drum the most. I began to search around for a corps to join but had no luck. While there are several civil war re-enactment groups scattered about the northern part of the state, there are no 18th century organizations here in our part of Florida.
Finally, at the beginning of summer 2018, I decided to create a new organization and the Treasure Coast Fife and Drum Corps was established.

Special Recognition
Our Corps has grown in the past year and we have been well received. However, there is one organization that deserves particular acclaim. The ladies of the Halpatiokee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution have welcomed us with warmth and open arms. The Daughters and Regent Lynne Jensen have made a lasting impression on us. In addition, they made a generous donation that will aid us in continuing to grow as an organization. Thank you Daughters!!

Sponsors
We would very much love to have sponsors who might help us in small or large ways to fund instruments, clothing or other needed accoutrements. In return, we will be dedicated to you when it comes to performing at your events or advertising your enterprises.
